THE ORIGINS

In 1932 Luigi Venturoli decides to put his farming experience into seed activity: Venturoli Sementi is established and located in Pianoro, near Bologna.
Soft wheat seed is the very first product.
The Italian Royal Family’s farm, San Rossore, was an important customer in those years.





FROM WHEAT TO HYBRIDS

During the 1960s Vittorio, son of Luigi, joins the company; he is the present Managing Director. The company opens to the international markets and new species like corn, sorghum and soybean are introduced in the catalogue.
1974: start of the important collaboration with Renk Seeds, Wisconsin, USA (now Renk International); Renk Italia is established, 100% owned by Venturoli family.
During the 1980s beginning of the collaboration with Semences de Provence, European leader of grain sorghum.
1991: Renk Italia changes its name into Renk Venturoli. The business develops in many countries, like Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, France and Germany.

THE PRESENT (AND THE FUTURE)

2007: RV Venturoli is the new name of the commercial company; Venturoli Sementi is the owner of the Licenses. Both companies are 100% owned by Venturoli family.
2007: new important cooperation with Saaten Union for straw cereals business; launch of hybrid wheat in Italy for the first time.
The international strategy is confirmed and strengthened. Significant relations with several companies in Europe, Africa, Middle east, India, Japan, China, USA, Canada, Argentina, etc..
